MI-RO Fashion Show Fall-Winter 2014-2015

Yesterday evening in the center of Athens there was a magical evening dedicated to beauty and theatricality by Mi-Ro for the presentation of the winter collection "La Pluie", sponsored of Samsung Electronics Hellas and co-star of the new smartphone Samsung GALAXY ALPHA.

"Les Parapluies", a composition of the great Impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir was the original inspiration for the collection Autumn-Winter 2014-15 by fashion design duo Dimitris Mastrokalos and Yiannis Raptis.

The melancholic Paris of the late 19th century, a rainy promenade in the French capital, the heroes by the dramatic novels of Emile Zola was the visual image with a contemporary look and flawless tailoring revived in front of the guests.

In this context, the guests before the start of the show, had the opportunity to be photographed on the set of Samsung Galaxy Alpha, as contemporary protagonists of rainy Paris.

The stunning catwalk took place at the former Depot No 1 Ermou Street, which first opened its doors to the public and specially formulated for the event.
With the start of the show, the place filled with exotic atmosphere, theatrical layering, lace roses, sparkling streams from broidery, rich taffeta, luxurious brocades and velvets in strong contrasts,  violet colors, seductive black and dramatic burgundy and pale pastel, reviving gracefully the salon of haute couture by Charles Frederick Worth and rainy nights under the lights of the Palais Royal.

Yiannis Raptis of Mi-Ro said "Our collection "La Pluie" represents the need of people to return to romance with a modern rock mood.
